What a delight to be asked by Confetti to create a wedding invitation suite for a Reception shoot at Shell Cottage, Carton House to feature in their Summer issue. The Summer theme was described as “very romantic, with a little country vintage. Lots of texture with accents of green and peach.”
Designing new wedding stationery is always fun and something we are doing more and more as brides look for elements to their day which are unique and special to them. So for this photoshoot it was nice to design an invitation suite to follow a vintage theme reflecting current trends. I chose an orange blossom engraving to run through the suite, printed on heavy weight cream card with a combination of block & script style fonts. I enjoyed creating the Table Plan using a number of double layered cards, held by peach satin ribbon and pinned to padded backing fabric, which sat inside a beautiful ornate French frame. Ceremony Signs, Tea-Time and Bride & Groom signs completed the picture! As with all our stationery our new ‘Orange Blossom’ invitation, table plan and signs can be altered to suit your theme or color scheme.
I popped along on the day of the shoot to Shell Cottage which is just a “must see” with walls and ceiling! adorned with shells collected from around the world and has previously been a creative home to Marian Faithful, Peter Sellers and Julie Andrews!
